This is my online client Mike. He lives in Ontario, Canada, and we have been working together for over a year. Before we started working together he had been pushing a lot of weight, but his form needed a pretty major overhaul. He had also been dealing with chronic back issues.
When we started working together, I dramatically reduced the amount of weight he had been using in most of his exercises. I REALLY reinforced the importance of proper form, and owning each rep/treating each rep as completely individual. I also added in many exercises to help improve his lumbo-pelvic stability, and shoulder and scapular controlled mobility.
Mike totally bought into everything I asked of him. He has gotten a lot stronger, his mobility has improved so much, and his body is feeling significantly better.
Here is Mike front squatting 255 lbs for multiple reps. While this might not be a lifetime PR (I think it is but I could be wrong), it is certainly a PR in the time we’ve been working together. While I am always fine tuning form, he has come such a long way!! In the second video he’s doing Spanish Squats. While the Spanish Squats are not a PR, his form is SO much better, and in my eyes this counts as a PR.
