Hands elevated push-ups are a great option, and if utilized correctly, can serve as a fantastic stepping stone to doing regular push-ups from the floor.\u2063<br>\u2063<br>Many people opt for kneeling push-ups. I am not a huge fan of kneeling push-ups, and cannot recall the last time I\u2019ve used them with clients. While I do not necessarily agree with some claims that push-ups from the knees are injurious, hands elevated push-ups have a much greater carryover to regular push-ups as the same body positioning and mechanics are involved. Kneeling push-ups remove much of the lumbo-pelvic stability that is required to perform regular push-ups.\u2063 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sure, kneeling push-ups can be used to target the upper body, but I\u2019d typically rather do that using landmine exercises, and other exercises that can be done using a barbell, dumbbells, kettlebells, and even bands. \u2063<br>\u2063<br>In order to progress or regress hands elevated push-ups, you simply decrease in increase the height of the box, bench, or any other surface you are using.
