If you know somebody who is trying to gain weight, show them your support. Or at the very least, do not be condescending, unkind, and unsupportive.<\/p>\n<p>Since October, I\u2019ve lost a bit of weight, and this has not been remotely intentional. I was busy\/overwhelmed with work, and was also a bit overwhelmed with life.<\/p>\n<p>I have made some significant changes in my life, including dramatically changing my work schedule, and also addressing my mental health, as I felt this was extremely necessary. Both of these changes are paying off in a huge way, both for my mental and physical health, and I am noticing a tremendous difference. I am extremely excited, and feel like this is a new beginning for me.<\/p>\n<p>While my goals are usually predominately performance and health-related, I\u2019m aiming to gain a bit of weight as I feel much more athletic, powerful, confident, and healthier at a slightly heavier weight, so that\u2019s what I am doing.<\/p>\n<p>I have mentioned my goal to some people, and have received some extremely unsupportive responses, including: \u2018\u2019why would you want to get any bigger,\u2019\u2019 \u2018\u2019you are so lucky you can eat anything you want (this isn\u2019t true),\u2019\u2019 \u2018\u2019you look better thin,\u2019\u2019 \u2018\u2019I liked the way you looked years ago\u2019\u2019 (a few years after my car accident when I had not been able to train properly and had lost all of my muscle, I was in extreme physical and mental distress, and none of my clothes fit).
